In the very same breath I made the decision to move north and leave the south behind, I also made a very conscious decision to find a personal stylist to enhance my both my business and personal wardrobes.  Little did I know that finding Carlton would be one of the best gifts a girl could ever be fortunate enough to give herself.  Carlton's style stood out from the hustle of the northeast, as much as his passion and love of helping others to look and feel their absolute best.  My closet consultation with Carlton revealed that well, my clothes were very "dark."  Black suits, black shoes, black pants, black shirts....  Over half of my clothes were black, and many of them outdated.  I tried on almost everything during our consultation.  There was the yes pile, the alteration pile, the no pile, and Carlton's list of must-haves.  That list was the foundation of my future closet, and my future well-dressed, more confident self.  Carlton taught me about color, shoes, accessories, how to mix and match and most importantly, fill my closet with lots of colorful and fashionable clothes!!

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Carlton by a mutual friend in the fashion business.  I’m not a fashionista and I would describe myself as the exact opposite, but I had a couple of big events coming up and my girlfriend expected me to represent, and that meant not my typical jeans and a T-shirt. I needed clothing for a black-tie event and some other upscale social functions. Fortunately, Carlton was able to size me up quickly and didn’t waste any time finding and designing three perfect outfits for all my events. Some items were made custom, after shopping the fabrics, some items I already owned, and some were brand new purchases from reasonably priced retailers. I’m a big guy so making me look good isn’t always easy and Carlton did it effortlessly.

After my social events, I realized that my closets were stuffed with clothes, but I never had anything to wear. Carlton stepped in and conducted a closet consultation at my home. It was totally transformative. I could not believe the amount of ill-fitting, out of style clothes I had been holding on to.  Carlton removed all the outdated gear, while more importantly, educating me on why he was discarding some items and why he was keeping others. This education has allowed me to make better fashion choices ever since. Once we had decided on what we were keeping Carlton folded, hung and placed all items into the closet in such an organized fashion my closet looked like a work of art. I wish I had taken pictures. Wardrobe Closet Consultation

Imagine walking into your closet and all of your clothes are folded neatly, hung up on hangers in an orderly fashion and everything is organized. You can actually create sensible and fashionable outfits with ease and walk out your front door feeling confident and amazing.

A detailed inspection of your entire wardrobe and accessories are done by the stylist in order to determine what clothes are obsolete and/or worn out.

Your wardrobe is placed into 3 categories: work, casual/weekend and special occasion. Clothing that you wear most frequently will be easily accessible and visible in your closet. Special occasion pieces will be moved to the back of the closet.

The stylist creates new outfits from your edited wardrobe with mix and match options. Accessories and shoes are added to complete the looks.

Personal Shopping Day

The stylist purchases clothing and accessories that will enhance and build the client’s wardrobe, based on their budget. Carlton Spence believes in purchasing quality clothing that will elevate your wardrobe to be current and fashion forward.
